Shoulder Injury Rehabilitation – Lexie

Lexie is a national level swimmer who was unable to train fully with her normal squad due to a shoulder injury that had been plaguing her for nearly 6 months. Keen to maintain her place in the squad yet fearful of making the pain worse, Lexie arrived at Back2Balance with the goal of returning her to swimming.

After creating a comprehensive review of her goals and an assessment of her injury with physiotherapist Melanie, Lexie has followed a program of weekly guided physiotherapist exercises and a progressive return to swimming. We’re proud of Lexie’s incredible dedication to return to health, with a fantastic result of coming third in the 2020 Australian Open Water Championships girls aged 14-15 5km race.
